WHICH GENRES BEST DESCRIBE YOUR MUSIC? Rock, Electronic, Sci-Fi Core, Indie Rock, Future Retro Contemporary, Synth Core and Crazy but Good.
IS THERE A THEME TO THE ALBUM? Dystopia.
WHAT UNUSUAL INSTRUMENTS OR TECHNIQUES DID YOU USE ON THIS ALBUM? Guitars and drums were recorded live without isolation- over half the record was improvised by guitar and drums in one take. The Moog parts were arranged to replace the traditional bass guitar. Besides that, we used seven different keyboards (both analog and digital) in the recording.
DID FANS HELP FUND THIS PROJECT? We didn’t have fans yet when this was recorded. Ben (drums) and Chico (guitar) have played together in Austin for roughly a dozen years. The Lees joined in about April 2008 and our first show was later in the summer of that same year. Black Cock –as we sound on the record– has only been around a short while.
WHO IS SITTING IN YOUR AUDIENCE? Fun-loving, lighthearted audiophiles. Maybe grumpy cynics too.
WHAT MAKES YOUR FANS UNIQUE? They’re not afraid to say that they love Black Cock!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PLACES TO PLAY? Art galleries, house parties and Evil Dead the Musical after parties.

WHAT’S IN THE WORKS FOR 2010? An EP, at least. We’ve written some new material and we’re trying to find a unique way to release it. Hopefully a tour, too!
