WHICH GENRES BEST DESCRIBE YOUR MUSIC? Pop/R&B/Soul. I call my music a cosmic soul experience.
WHAT’S THIS SONG ABOUT? Just about letting music take away your pains and sorrows. Let music be the light in your life and enjoy it without any regrets. The song simply wants people to feel good about love!
WHY DID YOU SELECT THIS TRACK TO SUBMIT TO THE IMAs? Actually, I personally didn’t select it. My manager submitted it secretly like they always do. But hey, I appreciate it that they feel it’s worth the nomination.
WHAT UNUSUAL INSTRUMENTS OR TECHNIQUES DID YOU USE ON THIS ALBUM? I don’t have a specific writing technique. I usually just write when it comes to my head. No matter if it’s on a napkin in McDonalds or my actual writing book at home. When I feel inspired by something, I just go for it!
DID FANS HELP FUND THIS PROJECT? Sadly, no. But they always give me inspiration for my projects
WHO IS SITTING IN YOUR AUDIENCE? I have a simple audience: people who want to hear good music with no strings attached.
WHAT MAKES YOUR FANS UNIQUE? They always keep me wanting to push myself to the next level. They are so supportive in every move I do. No matter if its two people or two million, I will continue to work hard to bring good substance music for them. They come to listen and I come to deliver.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PLACES TO PLAY? To be honest, in my mirror at home. Please don’t judge me, but that’s where I get all my good rehearsals in! Hahaha.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE ACHIEVEMENT TO DATE? Winning BEST R&B ALBUM for the 2009 INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS!!!
WHAT’S IN THE WORKS FOR 2010? Lots of new music, new looks and a new me! You just have to stay tune to see what happens! More than anything, know I will continue to deliver good music!

WHAT’S ON YOUR IPOD THAT WOULD SURPRISE YOUR FANS? This new artist name KE$SHA (yes, she spells her name with a “$” sign, hahaha). I love her song “Tik.Tok.” She is a fun girl! And I love artists who don’t just box themselves in to the world, they just live freely through their music.
NAME SOME ARTISTS YOU ARE CHAMPIONING: Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Stevie Wonder, Chris Brown, R.Kelly, Lady Gaga and the list goes on. I respect so many other artists out there. Those are some who just stick out to me, who no matter what, always just beats the odds & go for it! Keeps me motivated to wanting more for myself, as well.
