WHERE WAS SONG RECORDED? Fireside Studio, Quad Studio and Bottom Bunk Studio in Nashville, TN.
WHERE IS YOUR MUSIC AVAILABLE? www.brookewaggoner (for physical album), iTunes, Amazon and all other digital outlets.
WHICH GENRES BEST DESCRIBE YOUR MUSIC? Appalachian Mountains, mermaids, books, my old Coronet Typewriter and the field we lived on growing up. These aren’t genres exactly, but that’s what the music is.
WHAT’S THIS SONG ABOUT? Regret. Tomorrow I get to start over!
WHY DID YOU SELECT THIS TRACK TO SUBMIT TO THE IMAs? It contains many different elements that I’m about – catchy hooks, 70s style horns, a sweet little piano melody and an EPIC ending.
WHAT UNUSUAL INSTRUMENTS OR TECHNIQUES DID YOU USE ON THIS ALBUM? Nothing that unusual; when I wrote it, I wanted the end section to be something huge that kept the listener waiting for it throughout the song. As I like to call it, my “triple axel” moment.
DID FANS HELP FUND THIS PROJECT? No, I saved up my own money and my management offered some muscle.
WHO IS SITTING IN YOUR AUDIENCE? The random teeny bopper to the geeky-cool college kid to the adult Singer/Songwriter fan.
WHAT MAKES YOUR FANS UNIQUE? The fact that they’re all so different from each other.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PLACES TO PLAY? I love to play in NYC, California and Canada .
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE ACHIEVEMENT TO DATE? When the London Sunday Times said my debut EP, Fresh Pair of Eyes, was one of the most exciting releases to come out of America that year. That was almost two years ago and so early in my career. Completely unexpected and such an honor!
WHAT’S IN THE WORKS FOR 2010? More touring, better ideas and new adventures!
FINISH THIS SENTENCE: THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS... Up for grabs!
WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF SUCCESS? Connecting with people.
WHAT’S ON YOUR IPOD THAT WOULD SURPRISE YOUR FANS? “I want to be like you” from the Jungle Book. Duh!
NAME SOME ARTISTS YOU ARE CHAMPIONING: The Champion and His Burning Flame, Natalie Prass, and Capybara.
