Describe your nominated work: My nominated work is something that everyone can relate to. Sometimes life gets rough and things happen for no apparent reason. But in spite of it all I’m “Holdin’ On” and you can too!
Why did you choose to submit this work to The 10th IMA’s? I’m that struggling artist looking for his big break. The IMA’s not only provide great prizes, but also the opportunity to have your music exposed to a wide audience.
Did you use any unusual effects or instruments in this recording? Not in this one, but there’s still a great variety of instruments. Keyboards, Horns, Strings, Drums, Percussion, Bass and a great Lead Vocal. That’s some ear candy for ya!
Were there any happy accidents while in the studio, or did everything go as planned? I didn’t know what my introduction would be for this song until I got to the studio. In the end I thought it was best to be sincere and light hearted. Just state something that everyone can relate too because that’s what the song is all about.
Did fans help you fund this project? This project was self-funded, performed and produced. Luckily I know my way around a variety of instruments so sometimes I can do a quick adjustment without calling up the band. Other times I’ll just lay down the entire track myself depending on what I’m looking for!
Who’s sitting in your audience? Dedicated Fans, Family and Destiny!
What makes your fans unique? My fans are unique because they are ordinary people doing extra ordinary things everyday!
Are there any songs you wish you wrote? No. I admire many pieces of music but I have my own “hits” to write!
What artists are you listening to that would surprise your fans? Luciano Pavarotti, Feist, Frank Sinatra, Christina Aguilera, Pink.
What is your dream show lineup? Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, The Winans & The Brecker Brothers.
What are your guilty pleasures on the road? Low Calorie Gatorade & Protein Shakes. I’ve got to keep my health & fitness in check even on the road.
Any close calls or mishaps while on tour? Nothing yet.
Do you have any rituals before you go on stage? Prayer, a little snack and some show tunes.
Should music be free? Music should be free only if fans are willing to support their favorite artists via their tours, clothing lines, perfumes, etc. This is the only way I can see record labels and artists offering free music.
How has digital affected your career? The digital revolution has only helped my career so far. Now I can reach millions without ever traveling to their state or country. Although I’d love to perform all around the world, as an independent artist I’m taking it one step at a time.
Are digital singles vs. full albums the future of music? I don’t think so. As long as artists continue to put out a quality product, I feel the consumer will have no problem dishing out a little bit of money. A hit single is great, but a quality album provides a lifetime of memories.

This young man has so much talent it is ashame to be wasted in not doing nothing with it than just singing to the church spread it out to the world he is a dynamic man of God and a true man of his words. Just love all of his music
