My choice to win the Independent Music Award. He should be everybody’s first choice!! He is over the moon awesome!! Not your normal status quo!! He is a brilliant singer, songwriter and guitarist, plus he has the stuff that country music legends are made of!!

Dale Watson has given us a gift with these imaginiative works of musical art. The tones in his voice are unmatched and move me in ways that are both spiritual and physical. He leaves you yearning for more, to hear the next lick coupled with the steamy growl that draws you into it’s musical web, lyrically mesmerizing with it’s twists and poetic deliverance. Dale Watson is one of the last great country musicians, the torch he bears burns brightly and high above the cesspool of that which has strayed so far from tradition. He defines country.
In my professional and personal opinion Dale Watson is the only thing that is saving Country music today. Dale is the REAL deal a hardcore troubador for the 21st century. Molded in the same vein as the country greats like Merle Haggard, Lefty Frizzell, and Ray Price. Dales music is true to his roots and the blue collar…, hard working, beer drinking fans who love his music. And that shows every Sunday morning on my radio show as the only artist who commands more requests than Dale is the man Merle Haggard.
And the best part about Dale Watson is that the man is as Real as his music…God Bless Dale Watson and Country Music!!
Dale Watson is the real deal. What Dale does in keeping traditional country music alive can’t be matched. He writes & sings true to the roots and spirit of what made country music great. You can clearly hear influences of Merle Haggard & Johnny Cash in his songs, artists that Dale truly admires & respects. As someone growing up listening to country music in the 70′s, it really took me back the first time I ever heard Dale sing. It was exciting to hear that great soul & and twang of real country music again. The ‘cookie cutter’ songs and the artists they call country today will never hold a candle to Dale & the real life experiences his songs reflect. Dale is the nicest guy you will ever meet and he truly appreciates his fans. He always takes the time to meet everyone who wants an autograph or handshake. I am proud to say Dale is my friend and someone I truly respect. If someone ever has to explain to you what it is about Dale that makes him so captivating, well then, you will never get it, pack your bags and head back to Nashville and listen to your bubble gum rock. We are blessed to have such a treasure in Dale!
Dale is good old fashioned country/honky tonk! He has stayed true to the roots of his music and it shows not only in his music but in his personality as well! A true country gentleman!

Dale Watson: Singer, songwriter, story teller extraordinaire! He is a savior of traditional country music. Cash, Twitty, Tammy, and all the others who have left this earthly plane can rest easy knowing Dale is steering the ship. His lyrics will take your mind to places you’ve never been before. The man is a genious when it comes to song writing. His voice is haunting…one you soon won’t forget.
The Four Corners Music Hall (www.fourcorners.de) plays at least one complete Dale Watson album a day!!! Looking forward to the show.
Dale Watson is my hero. He does what he believes in and goes his own ways and dont let anybody tell him what to do. He stays true to the heart of country music and you always hear roots in his music. Thats what i like about Dale!
Dale write songs that hit you in the heart. He has a certain way to touch your feelings. Cause with a voice thats cool and soft at the same time you feel it in your heart and soul. I have 15 albums with Dale and i like everyone of them.
But my favourite album is “Every Song That I Wrote Is For You” cause it is his most personal album he ever done.
The lyrics grip your heart. A musical masterpiece!
