WHO IS SITTING IN YOUR AUDIENCE? Extremely varied – I’m known as an acapella expert, and Children’s Music star, I write for TV/Film and video games, and my most famous piece is for chamber orchestra, so my audience seems to be across wide age ranges.
WHAT MAKES YOUR FANS UNIQUE? They seem very passionate about good music, and tend to be very knowledgeable about music.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PLACES TO PLAY? Freight and Salvage (Berkeley), McCabe’s (LA), Old Town School of Folk Music (Chicago) and Town Hall (NY).
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE ACHIEVEMENT TO DATE? Having my music used throughout the 2nd season of Sex and the City.
WHAT’S IN THE WORKS FOR 2010? A production of The Shaggs: Philosophy of the World in NY, a new CD for families, more instrumental music, a couple of film scores, perhaps a video game score.

WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF SUCCESS? Making deep, satisfying music and making a living from it.
