What’s the meaning of your band name? play on words…nothing having to do with organized religion. No contenders.

Describe your nominated work: headstone hearsay

Why did you choose to submit this work to The 10th IMA’s? seemed to sum up our album and fit the category

Did you use any unusual effects or instruments in this recording?: cigar box guitar, bullet mic

Were there any happy accidents while in the studio, or did everything go as planned?: The sun rose in the West as we recorded in our Airstream in the Malibu hills and cut some vocals in Big Sur under the redwood trees.

Did fans help you fund this project? no

Who’s sitting in your audience? tom, dick and harriet plus one

What makes your fans unique? they spin in reverse

Are there any songs you wish you wrote? yes

What artists are you listening to that would surprise your fans? Bread

What is your dream show lineup? Chet Baker and The Attractions

What is your guilty pleasure on the road? Lucy: a really good cup of hot chocolate Wayne: Doritoes-Ranch style

Any close calls or mishaps while on tour? broken windows, flat tires, blown spark plugs, runny nose, lethal diaper change

Do you have any rituals before you go on stage? the heiny bump

Should music be free? yeah, but there’s a price to pay

How has digital affected your career? I now need glasses. We’re able to connect with more people and people we would have never been able to connect with.

Are digital singles vs. full albums the future of music? Impossible to say. At this very moment, we are living in the present. I would guess a definitely maybe.

Finish this sentence: The music industry is… a super highway with cracks in the concrete.
