DOES ECLECTIC DESCRIBE THE BAND OR JUST THIS ALBUM? What does eclectic
mean? Well, I guess it is inspired by an awful lot of different music. Eclectic is better than “progressive” right!?
WHAT MAKES THIS ALBUM ECLECTIC? The American vocal harmonies, British Pop sense, Swedish Folk, some Jazz and some Springsteen Americana. That should do it.
WHAT UNITES THE SONGS ON THIS ALBUM? A melodic coherence rarely heard of in today’s fast food McMusic industry.
WHAT UNUSUAL INSTRUMENTS OR TECHNIQUES DID YOU USE ON THIS ALBUM? Anders Pettersson plays pedalsteel guitar on most of the tracks. This is an instrument most commonly used in Country music. Also, old keyboards, mellotron and minimoogs. We have a song that clocks in at 32 minutes. A song length that normally is reserved for LSD tripping mustachewearing gnomes. Or 16th century ploughboys.
DID FANS HELP FUND THIS PROJECT? In the sense that fans bought the first album, they did help fund this album.
DESCRIBE YOUR AUDIENCE: Very kind, very intellectual. Mostly male.
WHAT MAKES YOUR FANS UNIQUE? I think they’re unique because they are the last legion of record buyers.
WHERE CAN MUSIC FANS DISCOVER ECLECTIC ARTISTS? Internet is the place.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PLACES TO PLAY?? Spirit of 66 in Belgium was fantastic. Rosfest in Philadelphia was really great, too.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE BAND’S MOST EXCITING MOMENT TO DATE? When we recorded our first song. That was when we knew we were going to be huge. Also, when we recorded our second song, which certainly emphasized that feeling.
WHAT’S IN THE WORKS FOR 2010? In spring 2010, we will release our third album entitled Lover’s End. Hopefully we get to play on a couple of festivals in the USA.

WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF SUCCESS? Not ending up like Jimmy Hoffa.
WHAT’S ON YOUR IPOD THAT WOULD SURPRISE YOUR FANS? I’m not sure anything would surprise our fans. There’s a lot of soul on it. Something that is normally lacking in the Progressive Rock world. Hopefully, it will shine through in our music in the future.
