WHAT’S THE MEANING OF YOUR BAND NAME? It actually has a double meaning. For one, a stone crusher is a powerful transmission for GM models. It is also the name of an intimidating, colossal creature made of stone but benevolent in nature. Were there any other contenders? Yes- Cerebus and also Marauder

DESCRIBE YOUR NOMINATED WORK: “Sea Witch” is about a ship of condemned souls who are doomed to wander the open seas for eternity, seeking ships to sink for their master, the devil.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO SUBMIT THIS WORK TO THE 10TH IMA’S? This is one song we were able to record professionally where the energy of the riff is hypnotic with intensity and drive. This is a true power metal song in every way.

DID YOU USE ANY UNUSUAL EFFECTS OR INSTRUMENTS IN THIS RECORDING? no

WERE THERE ANY HAPPY ACCIDENTS WHILE IN THE STUDIO, OR DID EVERYTHING GO AS PLANNED? Well, we really didn’t have a plan at the time but we did discover that we still held our dynamics of collaboration and improvisation even under unfamiliar direction and intense time restraints

ARE DIGITAL SINGLES VS. FULL ALBUMS THE FUTURE OF MUSIC? I don’t think so. Most people I know like to hear an album all the way through from start to finish and wait with anticipation for the next track to come on.
