WHY DID YOU SELECT THIS TRACK TO SUBMIT TO THE IMAs? We selected “Before I Die” because it was recently released in EA Games Madden NFL 10!

WAS THIS TRACK WRITTEN SPECIFICALLY FOR THAT PROJECT? No
WHAT UNUSUAL INSTRUMENTS OR TECHNIQUES DID YOU USE ON THIS ALBUM? We didn’t use anything unusual, but we did have to re-record the song in one day up in Atlanta with Matt Malpass:drums, bass, guitars, vocals, everything.
DID FANS HELP FUND THIS PROJECT? No, this was self-funded.
WHO IS SITTING IN YOUR AUDIENCE? I think our audience is pretty diverse. There really isn’t a stereotype to place on them.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PLACES TO PLAY? I love the northwest USA, to be honest; it’s an incredible place to visit visually.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE BAND’S MOST EXCITING MOMENT TO DATE? Definitely being chosen to be on Madden NFL 10 as a completely unknown band.
WHAT’S IN THE WORKS FOR 2010? We will be recording a new record later in the year. Also, my wife and I will be having our first baby next summer!

WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF SUCCESS? Musical success for me would be to support my family playing music, I don’t mean millions, just a normal living and I’d be perfectly happy.
WHAT’S ON YOUR IPOD THAT WOULD SURPRISE YOUR FANS? I don’t know. There’s nothing that really seems surprising to me cause it’s my iPod, but I guess maybe N*E*R*D.
NAME SOME ARTISTS YOU ARE CHAMPIONING: At the moment, I’m really digging the new He Is Legend record, It Hates You. I’ve just been introduced to Volbeat in the last year or so, very cool band. I can’t wait for Far to release their new CD! I was a fan back in the day.
