ALBUM NOMINATED: Glow

WHERE WAS THIS ALBUM RECORDED? It was recorded in a small studio of ours, a few miles from the town of Akranes, Iceland.

WHICH GENRES BEST DESCRIBE YOUR MUSIC? Electronic, downtempo, idm

WHAT’S THIS SONG ABOUT? It’s about this guy, hangin’ on the last breath of his mundane live as he knows it, because something is about to change, and he regrets not being close to finding love & happiness. This is a part of a whole bigger concept that we have been talking about on all our records to date.

WHAT UNUSUAL INSTRUMENTS OR TECHNIQUES DID YOU USE ON THIS ALBUM?  We recorded the vocals in the middle of washing room on the track “Hopeful.” Not for any reason though; it was the only place available at the time.

WHERE IS YOUR MUSIC AVAILABLE? On all major digital stores.

DID FANS HELP FUND THIS PROJECT?The album was funded by the members of Worm Is Green.

DESCRIBE YOUR AUDIENCE: They are the best!

WHAT MAKES YOUR FANS UNIQUE? They don’t hesitate to contact us, which is great. I think we have a good connection with our fans, overall.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PLACES TO PLAY? We really got a good vibe, when touring the west coast, Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco. We like small crowded places, by the way.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE BAND’S MOST MEMORABLE ACHIEVEMENT TO DATE? I think when we toured the US back in 2004. It was about 30 shows in like thirty-something days, it’s big thing for a band from the town of Akranes (pop. 5500).

WHAT’S IN THE WORKS FOR 2010? We are releasing a series of EP’s with remixes and B-sides from “the Glow sessions”- tracks we didn’t use for the album and remixes from a lot of talented artists from all around the world- and hopefully playing a lot of shows.

FINISH THIS SENTENCE: THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS….. harsh, unfair, great & rewarding.

WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF SUCCESS? Making the music you want to make, releasing it and making a living from it. ..simple, (but not…).

WHAT’S ON YOUR IPOD THAT WOULD SURPRISE YOUR FANS? Deftones & early Korn & Marilyn Manson , but I mostly listen to electronic music, not that surprising.
