It’s great having Tom Waits and Ozzy on the list. They are both really experienced, you know, for forty years they’ve heard quite all there is to be heard in their genres. And Sylvia, by the way, I think Tom Waits also speaks Spanish. Not sure though .

Hey Sylvia,

If you look carefully, you’ll notice we proudly have Arturo Sandoval on our panel of judges. He was born in Cuba and speaks Spanish. I believe there are also other judges on the panel who may also speak Spanish. I also suggest to artists who submit foreign language songs to include a translation or at least the lyrics so that we can use an online translating site to help us understand what is being sung. I hope that answers your question. We’d be delighted to review your material.

We compose Latin music, with Spanish lyrics, and there’s a big market for it here in the US, as well as internationally. While you say that your awards welcome all genres, you don’t seem to have anyone on your panel of judges that speaks Spanish, so how would they be able to judge something that they can’t understand?
