   Last year you had Doyle Lawson as a judge. Who do you have this year from the bluegrass genre? I didn’t see anyone I recognized on your list.

   Hey Myrna, you may be getting us mixed up with another program. We did not have Doyle Lawson as a judge last year. However, we are proud to have Del McCoury back aboard this year as one of our judges.    Curtis,

   We typically don’t announce which judges will be reviewing which categories. We usually give judges the categories they have a background in or personally request. If there are any well-known artists in your genre you’d like to see as judges for next year, we’d definitely consider reaching out to them.

   oh ok thanks! So if you can’t announce which judges will be judging what then could you give us a roundabout time when the nominees will be announced? The anticipation is killing me! haha

   We don’t have an exact date scheduled but usually we make the announcement in the first quarter of the year. We’re hoping sometime around February. Good luck!

   So my band submitted a song through reverbnation under the name silence. We recently had to change our band name since we found out there was a more established band with the name already. We are now As We Walk. How do I got about changing the name in our submission (Silence – Ultimatum) to As We Walk – Ultimatum. I mean I have no idea if we’ll get nominated or not but just in case is there a way I can go about fixing this?

   No worries! We’ve had to do this several times over the past programs. If you do get nominated, we will make the appropriate changes.

   Hi,

   It says here that you cannot disclose which judges judge which categories but this was before the nominations were out. Is there a chance to know or a place to find out who is judging the contemporary classical album and instrumental song categories? Who out of the judges are specifically classical/instrumentally acclaimed artists?

    We never disclose which judges judge which categories, except in rare promotional cases where the judge has given us permission. We do this for their confidentiality and is agreed upon before they become a judge. We always try to match categories to the judges who have a background in that genre, as it is usually the categories they prefer. Sometimes, it’s obvious which judges may be reviewing certain categories, but this isn’t always the case as it’s sometimes difficult to know which genres they request/specialize in. Hope that helps in some way!
