Bebe Buell

Bebe Buell

Musician, muse & manager, the multi-faceted Bebe Buell has left an indelible mark on pop music and culture. In addition to inspiring numerous pop classics, Buell has had success as a singer-songwriter/performer in her own right. In 1981 Buell recorded a four song EP on Rhino Records produced by Rick Derringer and Ric Ocasek with the Cars backing her on 2 tracks. She founded the influential underground female hard rock unit, The Gargoyles in 1985 with whom she toured throughout the USA & Europe and subsequently opened for The Ramones. Buell withdrew from performing in the ’90s to manage the career of her actress daughter Liv Tyler and to co-manage Deborah Harry’s solo career. Buell’s recent recording “Air Kisses for the Masses,” was released in April ’09 on iTunes and Amazon.com and appears on her new album, Sugar. Her official website is at www.bebebuell.org.
