Christopher “Play” Martin (Queens, New York City) is an American rapper and actor, formerly the latter half of the late 1980s/early 1990s hip-hop/comedy duo Kid ‘n Play. With fellow rapper/actor Christopher “Kid” Reid, Play recorded three successful albums and starred in four hip-hop based comedy films: House Party, Class Act, House Party 2, and House Party 3. Play is the founder and CEO of HP4 Digital Works & Solutions, a pre and post production multimedia company for film, digital media, and theater. Play also has Executive Producer credits for Rapland Recordings and Holy Hip Hop Music, as well as serves as the Executive Director of Amen Films producing and distributing Holy Hip Hop: The Movie in 2006.
