Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne

A man with almost no need for introduction, Ozzy Osbourne has been a heavy music leader for over 40 years. First with Black Sabbath, and later on his own, Ozzy’s legendary exploits/ventures, both musically and personally have led him to be dubbed the “Prince of Darkness,” and the “Godfather of Heavy Metal.” While ’80s albums like Blizzard of Ozz, Diary of a Madman, and Bark at the Moon helped cement Ozzy’s influence, he achieved great commercial success in the early ’90s with his album No More Tears, achieving 4-times platinum status, a #10 Billboard Rock charts spot, and a Grammy for “I Don’t Want to Change The World” in 1994. In 1996, Ozzy founded the popular and successful Ozzfest tour, which has spent summers melting faces with bands like Pantera, Metallica, Rob Zombie, System of a Down, In This Moment, The Sword, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, and more. This year, the tour’s first run on the road since 2007 (and first at all since 2008), will feature Motley Crue, Rob Halford, DevilDriver, Nonpoint, Black Label Society, Drowning Pool, Kingdom of Sorrow, Goatwhore, Skeletonwitch, Saviours, and Kataklysm. Ozzy’s newest album, Scream, will be released this June. The first single, “Let Me Hear You Scream,” debut on CSI: New York on April 14th, and spent 6 weeks on the Billboard Rock Songs chart, peaking at #7.
