Peter Gabriel

Peter Gabriel

After beginning his career as the lead vocalist for Genesis, Peter Gabriel eventually left the band in 1975. He has since had an incredibly successful solo career including the songs “Solsbury Hill,” “Biko,” “Shock the Monkey,” “Sledgehammer,” “Big Time,” and “In Your Eyes,” as well as his Grammy and Golden Globe-winning work on the soundtrack to Martin Scorsese’s The Last Temptation of Christ. Gabriel has also been heavily involved in the World Music scene as one of the founders of the WOMAD (World of Music and Dance) Festival and the Real World Studios and Real World Records. See his website, www.petergabriel.com, for more on his current projects.
