The IMA Artists To Reach 1 Billion Listeners
Independent Music Awards Winners & Nominees To Reach Potential Audience of One Billion Listeners Using Musicati’s DIY Digital Jukebox Program
The IMA Artists To Be Featured On Nearly 20,000 US Bar & Tavern Jukeboxes
August 3, 2010 – Musicati.com, the first DIY digital jukebox promotions program, and The Independent Music Awards (The IMAs), the awards for independent bands and fans, announced a partnership that will showcase The IMAs top-ranked music and videos at nearly 20,000 US bar & tavern jukebox locations that generate more than 500 million paid plays per year.
The August, 2010 pilot launch featuring 225 Winners and Nominees of The IMAs 9th program, will reach a potential audience of nearly one billion music consumers annually. Leveraging Musicati’s revolutionary DIY digital promotional technologies and the vast network of broadband connected jukeboxes powered by AMI Entertainment, a leading global provider of on-location digital entertainment, the partnership will deliver massive exposure and royalty opportunities for The IMA artists while providing millions of music fans with an eclectic mix of independent label and self-released talent.
“The IMAs and musicati.com partnership continues our program’s legacy of building revenue opportunities and increasing the fan bases of The IMA artists,” said Martin Folkman, Executive Director of The Independent Music Awards. “It’s a winning combination of talent, technology and distribution that will excite fans and deliver phenomenal access for independent artists who are traditionally underserved by mass media and major distribution outlets,” said Folkman.
The Independent Music Awards featured playlists on the Musicati system will be supported by a full pallet of national on screen ads and video packages that drive exposure opportunities for The IMA Winners and Nominees. Future program enhancements include a touch screen voting platform that will enable bar and tavern patrons to vote for their favorite IMA nominated artists and songs in The IMA Vox Pop Poll, the fan-determined portion of The Independent Music Awards.
“All here at Musicati.com are proud to support The Independent Music Awards community of exceptional artists,” said Musicati inventor, Troy Stacy. “The IMAs are renowned for discovering and supporting the best independent artists and releases, and I am personally excited to join The Independent Music Awards Industry Judging panel for the program’s current, 10th anniversary program,” Stacy said.
