What’s the meaning of your band name? Formed by Johan Frandsen in 1996, the band title THE KNOCKOUTS can mean lots of different things – THE KNOCKOUTS have respectively gained a reputation for being an amazing live act – perhaps that says it all.

Describe your nominated work: The nominated work titled “Saidaway” means ‘hear my voice,’ was composed around the ‘palmwine guitar’ style that originates from Ghana, West African.this finger picked guitar rhythm which is heard in the intro of the song. It has a fun uplifting sound generated from the rhythm and melody from the guitar intro.
