What’s the meaning of your band name? Formed by Johan Frandsen in 1996, the band title THE KNOCKOUTS can mean lots of different things – THE KNOCKOUTS have respectively gained a reputation for being an amazing live act – perhaps that says it all.
Why did you choose to submit this work to The 10th IMA’s? We loved the idea of the artist judges and wanted to support and be part of the Independent awards.
What’s the meaning of your band name? It actually has a double meaning. For one, a stone crusher is a powerful transmission for GM models. It is also the name of an intimidating, colossal creature made of stone but benevolent in nature. Were there any other contenders? Yes- Cerebus and also Marauder
Describe your nominated work: The Album consists of three different Blues Styles recorded with three different Bands I worked with in Europe. The Styles range from Jazz/Blues to Rhythm & Blues to Blues/Rock.

Describe your nominated work: I wrote “Don’t Be Mad” back in the summer of 2007 while still attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. I wrote it about a particular battle I was having between my heart and my head in relationship to a close friend at the time.
